Pieter Jansen graduated as a general practitioner in 2022 and embarked on his PhD journey the same year. Driven by a passion for environmental health, he joined the Intego team to explore how the Intego database can be used to investigate the health impacts of local pollutants, such as PFAS or heavy metals. Currently, Pieter is focused on integrating human biomonitoring data with the Intego database. Additionally, he is dedicated to enhancing public communication regarding the health effects of local pollutants. Besides his research activities, Pieter is actively working as a general practitioner.
