Diabetes barometer

The Diabetes barometer for general practitioners, developed with the support of RIZIV, is designed to enhance the quality of diabetes care in primary care settings. The barometer aims to provide general practitioners with insights into their diabetes care strategies by using automatic audit and feedback mechanisms. This helps in monitoring and improving the quality of care for patients with type II diabetes.

The barometer includes several quality indicators that are automatically extractable from the EMR. These indicators are based on scientific research and validated through methods like the Delphi method.

Timing

The automated data collection for the diabetes barometer occurs every six months, ensuring that the feedback is up-to-date and relevant.
